Price Done – Man Utd to Agree $109million Star Signing

Manchester United have been trying to sign French international and Atletico Madrid star Antoine Griezmann for a long time.
If the latest reports in the media are anything to go by then the Red Devils are now a step closer to securing his signing after agreeing a price with the Spanish side.
According to reports (Daily Star via Vincent Rodriguez), Manchester United and Atletico Madrid have reached a financial agreement to seal a deal for the 26-year-old playmaker.
The former agent has not mentioned a sum that the two clubs may have agreed but we do know that last summer, Griezmann signed a new contract which will expire in 2021 and has a release clause (Guardian) of 100 million euros ($109million).
Antoine is one of the best playmakers in the world and it will not come as any surprise if United activate his release clause to hire his services.
After brilliant performances in the last campaign, the ex Real Sociedad attacker finished third behind Ronaldo and Messi in the race for Ballond’Or and he has been fantastic this season as well.
So far, in 46 appearances in all competitions, the Les Bleus star has netted 25 goals and also provided 11 assists for Diego Simeone’s team in the current campaign.
For now, United must focus on qualifying for the Champions League. We shall see how the transfer saga unfolds in the coming months.
