Liverpool have Moved in to Agree $30million Star Signing – Not Vinicius

Since the 2013-14 Premier League campaign, no Liverpool player has been able to score 20 league goals in a season and Jurgen Klopp must secure the signing of a top quality goalscorer in the summer transfer window.
Recently, we covered a report (via SW) claiming that the Reds have contacted Brazilian side Flamengo to sign their center forward Vinicius Junior.
Now, the latest reports suggest that the Reds have moved in and inquired about agreeing the signing of Colombian international and Sampdoria star Luis Muriel.
According to Italian source Tutto Mercato Web, Liverpool have asked about the 25-year-old South American striker, who has been in fantastic form for the Serie A side in the current campaign.
His goal-scoring stats are not so much impressive but his overall contribution in the attack has been brilliant. This season, in 26 starts for the Italian club, the former Udinese center forward has directly contributed in no fewer than 21 goals (12 goals and 9 assists).
Luis is mainly a striker but he can effectively be deployed in as secondary forward and even as a right winger if needed. As per the provided TMW link, Muriel has a release clause of 28 million euros ($30million) in his contract.
