Chelsea and Arsenal are ready to reinforce their attacking midfield by signing a top quality playmaker in the form of Ivan Perisic.
The North Londoners have been poor this season and it is highly likely that they will not be playing in the Champions League next season. To bounce back, the Gunners must sign class players and Perisic is surely one of them.
Lately, Arsenal have been linked with a move for Turkish international and Barcelona star Arda Turan (CNN Turk). The former Galatasaray star is past his best and will not really improve the team much.
Now, according to Goal, Arsenal could lose Alexis Sanchez in the summer transfer window and eye Perisic as his replacement. The report says that Ivan would cost around €35-40 million, however, Italian source GdS claimed last month that Inter Milan are looking to get at least €60million for their prized asset.
The 28-year-old Croatian international can play anywhere in the attack but mainly, he is a left winger. This season, he has directly contributed in 16 goals (9 goals and 7 assists) in 30 league appearances for the Serie A side.
The former Borussia Dortmund attacker is a quality player but it will be fair to say that he is not better than Alexis. The Chilean star has scored 23 goals and provided 18 assists in 42 games for the Gunners this season.
As per the provided Goal link, Perisic is looking to move to England but may reject a move to a club, who will not be taking part in the next season’s UCL. In such a scenario, Arsenal will probably have to forget about signing him.
In your opinion, is Perisic good enough to replace Alexis?

This is a needless post considering that Arsenal will not compete in the UCL, come next season. Perisic will not join a club that is not in the champions league, but he has been at Inter which have not played in the UCL for past three seasons or so. If Arsenal miss champions league for one season for the first time since the past 16 seasons who says they will not be there the season after? Chelsea missed champions league soccer this season but they are surely right back in it, with quality signings like Kante Pedro and David Luiz.
Bonaroca:- I think the Arsenal Board should first decide whether Mr Wenger’s contract is being extended.
When the Board solve that problem which is not easy due to pressure from the Club Supporters, then
one could start thinking about player transfers. After all if a new Manager replaces Mr. Wenger then it is up
to the new manager to decide whom to sign.
If these signings take place ,it shows Wenger is still calling the shots.
I am of the opinion that he shd be gone from Arsenal when the season ends.
No where in the fw do you find somone at the same club for 20 plus years.
Maybe in a little unknown French club where the guy stayed for 30 plus years ,if
I aint wrong.
