Arsenal are in search of a top quality out and out striker to reinforce their squad in the summer transfer window and several in form stars are linked with the club.
We recently covered a report (via Mirror) claiming that the North Londoners are ready to splash a fee of 65 million pounds to sign Romelu Lukaku from Everton. Moreover, Kylian Mbappe has been in the lime light as well.
French international and Lyon star Alexandre Lacazette has been linked with a move to the Emirates for quite some time and according to reports in France (GFFN via France Football), Arsenal are the only English club seriously interested in signing the 25-year-old striker, who would cost around 60 million euros.
Last month, Mirror claimed that even Liverpool are looking to lure the clinical finisher, who has a release clause of 60 million pounds ($77million) in his contract, which will expire in 2019.
As per the provided GFFN link, it is almost certain that Alexandre will leave the Ligue 1 side in the summer transfer window and the likes of Dortmund, Atletico and AC Milan are also interested in hiring his services.
Earlier this month, Lyon director Bernard Lacombe confirmed that he could leave and stated (RMC via Get French Football News).
“The departure of Alex would be very difficult for our club, because even if we could make lots of money, he is an immense player and I do not think that we will understand the magnitude of his departure fully until it happens.
The Les Bleus star has been in top form for Lyon this season. In 40 appearances (all competitions), he has directly contributed in 35 goals (31 goals and 4 assists).
The Gunners badly need a top number 9 to strengthen their striking department because the likes of Giroud and Welbeck are just not good enough to help them win the title. Lukaku could be the better option because he is proven in the PL but Chelsea and Manchester United want him as well.
In your opinion, should Arsenal sign Lukaku or Lacazette?
