Liverpool suffered another shocking defeat at the hands of Crystal Palace at Anfield and they are no longer in pole position to earn Champions League qualification.
Klopp’s men needed to put pressure on the Manchester clubs by beating the Eagles but once again, their shaky defense made things way too easy for the visitors.
Whether or not Liverpool will qualify for the CL, the German manager needs to reinforce the squad in the summer transfer window. According to the latest reports going on in the media, the Merseysiders are seriously looking to sign a new left back.
Two days back, we covered a report (via Daily Mail) claiming that Liverpool are closing in on signing Hull City’s Andrew Robertson and are also eyeing Real Betis’ Riza Durmisi.
Now, Fulham starlet Ryan Sessegnon is once again in the focus. The Reds have been chasing the 16-year-old player for a long time now and according to Express, Klopp is not worried about his contract scenario and is determined to agree his signing this summer.
The teenage starlet can be deployed anywhere on the left hand side of the field. This season, the Cottagers have mainly utilized him in the left fullback position but when needed, he has played as a left midfielder and also a left winger.
Klopp needs a defender who could also be productive in the attacking third and Ryan perfectly fits the bill. This season, in 29 appearances for Fulham, Sessegnon has netted 7 goals and also provided 4 assists.
As per the provided Express link, the London club will demand around 15 million pounds ($19.2million) for their talented starlet.

What is this obsession with versatility? We’ve not get a keeper, we’ve not got a left back, we’ve not got a defensive midfielder, we’ve not got a centre back worthy of the name, we’ve not got a winger on either flank and we are the only top club without a proper striker, preferring instead for attacking midfielders coming through to score but, as we all know, that isn’t working and we looked useless up front against Palace as well as at the back. For God’s sake, buy a top striker, a top centre back and a top defensive midfielder or the crap we’ve seen against the smaller clubs will come back to haunt us again next year. Or, are we going to see Lucas and Moreno in the squad again then? If Klopp can’t see this he needs to go!
