Manchester United signed a top quality center half last summer in the form of Eric Bailly.
The Ivorian star has been impressive for the Red Devils in his debut season and currently starts with Rojo in the central defense on regular basis.
United also have stars like Blind, Smalling and Jones for their central defense. Still, Jose Mourinho wants to further strengthen his back line and Burnley’s Michael Keane is on his radar.
The England international left the Old Trafford club some time ago due to lack of first team football and has now turned into a quality center half with the Clarets.
According to reports (Mirror), Keane is ready to move back to Manchester United and Mourinho thinks that the 24-year-old defender could prove to be a hit at the club.
Michael has so far featured in 33 league games for Burnley this season, scored 2 goals and provided an assist. His quality displays deservedly earned him a place in the senior national team and he made his debut for the Three Lions last month.
According to Telegraph, the likes of Tottenham and Everton also want to sign Keane, who is rated around 30 million pounds ($38million). Nevertheless, United should be considered favorites to secure his signature since he wants to return to the club.
In your opinion, do United need more central defenders? Will Keane improve Jose’s back line?
