In the absence of star playmaker Sadio Mane, Liverpool have not been as tormenting as they normally are in his presence.
However, with the Senegalese star out injured, Klopp’s men have fought hard to earn victories in their last two games against Stoke City and West Brom respectively.
The German manager needs to improve his strike-force and must also add depth to the attacking midfield in the summer transfer window.
The Merseysiders have been linked with Spanish international and Ahtletic Bilbao playmaker Inaki Williams for quite some time and he is once again in the focus.
According to reports (SW via Marca), numerous clubs have already launched efforts to sign the 22-year-old star and Liverpool are one of them.
The La Roja star is naturally a right winger, who can be deployed on the left wing and also as a center forward if required. This season, Inaki has featured in 43 games for the La Liga side and directly contributed in 15 goals (7 goals and 8 assists). He made his senior international debut back in May last year.
At the moment, Mane is the only Liverpool attacker with searing pace and Klopp needs more speedsters in his style of attacking football. Inaki Williams is renowned for his pace and trickery and should be the perfect man to improve the quality and depth of Liverpool’s offense.
His current deal with Bilbao will expire in 2021 and as per the provided Sport Witness link, the contract has a release clause of 50 million euros ($53million).
