Deal Close – How Man Utd will Line up with $23million Star

Manchester United are already targeting top players to improve their squad in the summer transfer window and Paris Saint-Germain star Serge Aurier has been in the limelight.
Yesterday, we covered a report (via Daily Mail via L’Equipe) claiming that the Red Devils are close to signing the Ivorian international, who is refusing to sign a new contract with the reigning French champions.
The $23million rated star (Mirror) can play in multiple defensive positions but he is naturally a right back and should replace Valencia if he does end up moving to Old Trafford.
The veteran Ecuadorian international has performed well for the Red Devils in the current campaign but Mourinho needs someone, who could serve the club for the long term.
Jose has mainly utilized a 4-2-3-1 formation this season but at times he has shifted to three at the back as well when needed.
Aurier is not only solid at the back but also productive in the attacking third and that is why he has at times played on the right hand side of the midfield as well. In the 4-2-3-1 system, we can expect the 24-year-old defdender to line up as a right back. On the other hand, he may start as a right midfielder or wing-back in the 3-4-3 setup.
