Arsene Wenger needs to leave the club after a disastrous season and even an FA Cup victory over City will not set things right.
The North Londoners need world class players in the summer transfer window if they are to have any chance of challenging for the Premier League title. Moreover, they must hold onto star players like Alexis and Ozil.
The dilemma is that the Chilean international is expected to leave the club this summer. If he does depart, the Gunners must replace him with a superstar and reports suggest that they are keen on signing Kylian Mbappe from Monaco (Mirror).
The 18-year-old French international has arguably been the hottest prospect this season. In 36 appearances for the Ligue 1 side, Mbappe has already netted 22 goals and provided 11 assists.
His top performances earned him a place in the senior national side last month and compatriot N’Golo Kante heavily praised him by stating (Express):
“What he does at his age is exceptional”
Kylian’s current contract with Monaco will expire in 2019 and he is rated at €40million as per CIES Football Observatory. However, the French side want a fee which is more than what Man United paid to lure Pogba last summer (Express).
Arsenal have been interested in Arda Turan lately (via CNN Turk) but they really do not need to sign someone who is past his best.
They badly need a striker who would score over 20 league goals in a season and Mbappe can solve that dilemma for the Gunners. Not to forget, even Manchester United are interested in signing the teenage star.

Every bird brain is a genius football pundit, from toothless Pail Merson who 3 weeks ago urged Arsenal to get Luis Enrique, wpman beatong Colleymore, to Ian Wright who once equally passionately argued fo McLaren yo get England kob only for being English.
Funnily enough, they never apologize for stupid suggestions & comments; just go on making bundkes for stating the bleeding obvious; even getting THAT wron
They ALL know more than Wenger!
I agree with your view of ex-footballer pundits , but I still believe they know more about top class football than Wenger. If any of them have been managing the team this season I would not have thought that they would have gone the whole without changing the playing formation, or sold Campbell ,or limit the playing time of Perez. They would not be in danger of losing Alexis. Wenger always allows our top players to leave. They would not have entertained the part-time Ozil performing as he does. The best way forward for Arsenal would be to alllow Wenger to go.
