Deal Close – Man Utd to Agree Andrea Belotti Signing

With Zlatan Ibrahimovic now out injured, Manchester United must sign a prolific goalscorer in the summer transfer window to replace the legendary center forward.
In such a scenario, Mirror are claiming that the Red Devils are closing in on a deal to hire the services of Italian international and Torino striker Andrea Belotti.
After beating Burnley in the Premier League yesterday, the Old Trafford club are in pole position to finish in the top four and earn Champions League qualification, which can help them attract top quality stars.
Belotti is currently the joint leading goalscorer in the Serie A with 25 goals. Roma star Edin Dzeko has also netted 25.
Overall, in 33 games for the Italian club this season, the 23-year-old star has directly contributed in no fewer than 33 goals (27 goals and 6 assists).
As per the provided Mirror link, the Azzurri forward has been on the wish list of Mourinho all season and United may have to activate his 84 million pounds ($108million) release clause to secure his signature.
Torino are current 9th in the table and will probably not be playing in Europe next season. Someone like Belotti needs to play in the Champions League and will likely move this summer.
United will have to act swiftly to sign Belotti because other top clubs are interested in signing him as well. Back in January, even Chelsea were linked with a move to sign him (via TMW).
