Arsenal Have Moved in to Agree $33million Deal

Arsenal desperately need to strengthen their squad in the summer transfer window. More importantly, they must hold on to the key players already present in the team.
If reports in the media are anything to go by then the North Londoners have moved in to finally agree a new deal with England international Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
According to Daily Mail, the Gunners are in talks with the 23-year-old playmaker and are prepared to offer him a deal that will make him earn around £100,000-a-week, £26million ($33million) in five years.
Alex’s current contract will expire in 2018 and Liverpool have been heavily linked with a move to secure his signature (via Telegraph).
The former Southampton attacker has netted 6 goals and provided 9 assists in 41 games for the club this season but Wenger has mainly used him as an impact player from the bench.
So far, he has only started 23 games in all competitions in the current campaign. Last weekend, he was fantastic in the FA Cup victory against Manchester City and deserves to start regularly.
Oxlade-Chamberlain’s main asset is his versatility. The Three Lions star can play anywhere in the attacking third, in the midfield and Wenger has also used him in the wing back positions when needed.
Moreover, he can operate effectively with both feet and has got the pace to beat the best of defenders around. The French boss must hand him regular starts or else, it will not come as any surprise if Alex opts to leave the Emirates.
