Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard led his side to a historic Champions League victory in 2005 when the Reds bounced back from three goals down to beat the mighty Rossoneri on penalties.
Last night, the retired England international witnessed another unbelievable comeback in the Champions League as Barcelona – after losing the first leg 4-0 in Paris – turned the tie around and won the second leg 6-1.
The five time European Champions started brilliantly but suffered a major set back when Cavani scored the crucial away goal for the Ligue 1 giants.
Not many could have predicted a comeback for the Catalan giants when there were two minutes remaining in normal time and three goals needed for them to qualify.
However, against all odds, Jose Enrique’s men scored three goals in the space of seven minutes to eliminate the French champions from the competition.
