If the latest reports are anything to go by then Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho seems very serious about securing new deals with his current crop of key players.
Two days back, we covered a report (via The Sun) claiming that the Red Devils are going to offer Ander Herrera a new improved deal to stay at Old Trafford.
Now, reports suggest that United are willing to agree a fresh deal with second choice goal keeper Sergio Romero as well.
Back in January (Sky Sports), the former Chelsea boss claimed that he is looking to keep David de Gea and Sergio Romero at Old Trafford.
Now, according to Clubcall, the 30-year-old Argentine goalie, who current earns £60,000-a-week ($73,000-a-week, $3.8million-a-year), is expected to get a new offer from the Red Devils to extend his stay at the club.
The former Sampdoria star is an experienced goalie, who has featured in 80 games for the senior national side.
This season, Mourinho has mainly preferred Romero in cup competitions and he has been highly impressive when given the chance.
In 9 appearances, the Argentine goalie has helped the team keep 7 clean sheets. He is yet to concede a single goal in this season’s Europa League (5 appearances).
