Not Ox – Liverpool Look to Agree $27million Versatile Star Signing

Jurgen Klopp DortmundDespite signing a new goal keeper and two new central defenders last summer, Liverpool have been shaky at the back.
The Reds must improve their defense if they are to have any chance of achieving their objectives under the management of Jurgen Klopp.
According to reports in Italy (CalcioMercato), Liverpool and Juventus are looking to sign Brazilian international and Real Madrid defender Danilo.
The 25-year-old star won two Primeira Liga titles with FC Porto before moving to the Bernabeu. Since his move, the versatile Samba star has mainly warmed the bench for the Los Blancos.
This season, he has only featured in 9 league games for the reigning European champions and scored one goal.
Danilo can play in both fullback positions effectively but at Real Madrid, the likes of Carvajal (RB) and Marcelo (LB) keep him out of the starting XI.
Liverpool do need a left back and a DM and Danilo can also play in the defensive midfield role if needed. Such flexibility could prove to be fruitful for the Merseysiders.
Danilo’s contract will expire in 2021 and as per the provided CalcioMercato link, Real Madrid want at least 25 million euros ($27million) for him.

Don’t know enough about him to comment – much – but his CV is quite impressive! Don’t like the idea of only signing versatile players! Rush wasn’t that versatile, neither was Dalglish and Suarez certainly wasn’t. Let’s have wingers on the wing, centre-backs at centre-back and a PROPER defensive midfielder plying his trade in the correct position. Playing Milner, Firmino and Lucas out of position is simply wrong . . . but, then, playing Lucas anywhere is simply wrong!
