Liverpool have been fantastic in the attacking third this season and are currently leading the goal scoring charts in the Premier League with 61 goals.
Manager Jurgen Klopp wants to further improve the quality of his offense by signing a top quality attacking midfielder this summer.
Last summer, the Reds were heavily linked with a move to sign French international Ousmane Dembele, however, the youngster opted to join Borussia Dortmund instead.
Now, the 19-year-old star is linked with a move to Barcelona but Klopp is not ready to give up and wants to finally bring the versatile playmaker to Anfield (Mirror).
The former Rennais attacker has proved to be an instant hit with the Bundesliga side. This season, the Les Bleus star has featured in 36 games for Thomas Tuchel’s team and has directly contributed in 23 goals (7 goals and 16 assists).
Atletico superstar Griezmann is a huge fan of Ousmane. Back in December 2016, Antoine heavily praised his compatriot and claimed (Goal):
“Ous is a very, very big talent,” “I have already noticed this with a few training sessions with the French national team.
“Technically, he is very strong. If he continues to work hard and remain humble, he will become a very big player.”
The pacy attacker can effectively play on either flank and also as a central attacking midfielder. He made his international debut in September 2016 and since then he has played three times for the senior French side.
He is one of the hottest young prospects around and will not come for cheap. According to CIES Football Observatory, Ousmane’s contract with Dortmund will expire in 2021 and he is currently valued at 71 million euros (£62million).
