After beating Tottenham Hotspur at Anfield, Liverpool supporters must have thought that their team has returned to top form. However, the Reds were humiliated by Leicester City last Monday and suffered a major setback in their pursuit of the top four.
Next up, the Merseysiders will play against Arsenal at Anfield. The duo collided in the opening week of the Premier League this season and Klopp’s men won the game 4-3 in a thrilling contest at the Emirates.
As far as Liverpool’s team news is concerned, Lovren has returned to training but may not feature against the Gunners (Liverpool Echo). Jordan Henderson still has a foot concern and he will probably miss the game as well (PhysioRoom).
Jurgen must stop utilizing Lucas in the central defense. The Brazilian has been average playing out of position and in his place, Ragnar Klavan should return to the starting XI. The Estonian star may partner Matip in the central defense.
With Henderson out, Can will most likely retain his place in the starting lineup as a defensive midfielder.
Here is Liverpool’s potential 4-3-3 XI vs Arsenal.

Not one natural leader, nobody to take control, a poor keeper, Milner is not a left back, the two central defenders are both cultured and not physical, Can is having a poor season and may not be a natural defensive midfielder, we’ve got no natural width and no striker. Add to that every player is out of form and dreads getting the ball. Other than that we’ll rip Arsenal apart!
Sorry, after this length of time we’ve got to realistically look at the manager and notice that the defence is still a nightmare, we still need a defensive midfielder and we need at least one winger and a world-class striker. Klopp is on £220,000 per week, supposedly, but now his stats are WORSE than those Rodgers had . . . and he got sacked.
Three transfer windows and our defence is crap, no DM, no strikers, no wingers and, while United are boasting about how Griezmann is signing for them for £85m, we are talking about getting a young Brazilian kid who is 17, I think. Sorry, that is pathetic.
The only problem with Liverpool is lack of competition in the squad, Due to that players are playing their unusual numbers. Milner is never a defender,
Liverpool need to splash out their money in the summer if only they want come back to the world of football again.
