Manchester United must sign top players next summer and they must also hold on to their key players.
Spanish international Juan Mata was never preferred by Jose Mourinho when he was in charge of Chelsea. However, things have changed for the former Valencia star at Old Trafford.
The Portuguese manager has praised Mata quite a few times this season and the 28-year-old star has proved to be great for the Red Devils.
In the current campaign, the former Blues playmaker has featured in 36 games for Manchester United and directly contributed in 14 goals (9 goals and 5 assists).
The versatile playmaker currently earns £140,000-a-week (Star) with the club and his contract will expire in the summer of 2018.
According to Daily Star, Juan has an option to extend his stay for another year and he is set to do exactly that. He has been part of the manager’s plan and is keen on sealing the deal with the Red Devils.
In your opinion, should United sign a contract extension with Juan Mata?
