Liverpool desperately need to add more quality and depth to their team if they are to have any chance of winning the Premier League title next season under the management of Jurgen Klopp.
The Reds have been brilliant in the attacking third this season, still, the German boss is looking to sign quality attackers this summer and a certain top stars are in the spot light.
Yesterday, we covered a report (via TMW) claiming that Klopp is ready to splash 35 million euros to sign Ivan Perisic from Inter Milan. Now, Riyad Mahrez’s name is in the rumors again.
According to Spanish source Sport, Barcelona want to sign Mahrez but have competition from the likes of Liverpool and Juventus, who have already made approaches to sign the Algerian international.
Earlier this month, Italian source Tutto Mercato Web exclusively reported that Riyad is Klopp’s transfer priority this summer.
The 26-year-old African star was named PFA Player of the Year for his fantastic performances that helped the Foxes win the PL title last season. After that, he signed a new deal (Telegraph) with Leicester worth £100,000-a-week ($125,000-a-week).
In the current campaign, Leciester have struggled in the bottom half of the season and Mahrez has been inconsistent. In 26 league appearances, he has netted 5 goals and provided 3 assists. In your opinion, will Riyad improve Liverpool?
