Spurs to Finally Agree Key $24million Deal – Signing Close

Having already agreed new deals with star striker Harry Kane and goalie Hugo Lloris, Tottenham are now closing in on agreeing another fresh contract, this time with Toby Alderweireld.
Back in December 2016, it was revealed that the Belgian international has got a release clause of 25 million pounds in his contract and to eradicate the clause, Spurs want to sign a new deal with the former Atletico Madrid center half (The Guardian via Football Leaks)
Now, according to Daily Mail, Toby Alderweireld is close to finally signing a new five year deal with the North Londoners that will make him earn £75,000-a-week, £19.5million ($24million in five years).
The 27-year-old defender was lured by Mauricio Pochettino before the start of last season and since completing his move, Toby has proved to be an important member of the squad.
Spurs have the best defense in the Premier League this season, having only conceded 18 goals in 26 games so far and Alderweireld has been rock solid at the back.
In all fairness, Toby can easily earn more than the above mentioned wages with any other top club. Should Spurs pay him more?
