Jack Wilshere has been one of the most injury prone players for Arsenal over the years but manager Arsene Wenger has always rated him very highly.
The North Londoners secured the signing of Swiss midfielder Granit Xhaka in the summer and Wilshere joined Bournemouth on loan.
The England international is performing well but the Cherries can forget about making his loan move permanent because Wenger wants him back at the Emirates.
Back in November, Arsene Wenger confirmed that the Gunners will be offering a new contract to the 25-year-old star (BBC).
Now, the Sun have reported that Wenger is keen to tie up his future and Arsenal are set to agree a new deal with Wilshere this month.
Currently, Jack is earning (Daily Mirror) £90,000-a-week ($111,000-a-week) and his contract with the North Londoners will expire in 2018.
Last season, Wilshere could only feature in 3 league games for Arsenal. This season, he has made 17 PL appearances for Bournemouth and has provided one assist.
In your opinion, does Jack deserve a fresh deal?
