At the weekend, Arsenal will collide against an in form Southampton side at St. Mary’s in the FA Cup fourth round.
The Saints defeated Liverpool last night to qualify for the final of the EFL Cup. Puel’s men have not conceded a single goal in the league cup (5 clean sheets).
The North Londoners have already faced Southampton twice this season. Back in September, the Gunners won 2-1 in the Premier League, however, the Saints ousted them from the EFL Cup last month with a 2-0 victory at the Emirates.
Who will come out on top this time?
As far as Arsenal’s team news is concerned, expect Arsene to make more than a few changes in the starting XI that featured vs Burnley last weekend.
Hector Bellerin should return and start in the right back position in place of Gabriel. Francis Coquelin will most likely replace suspended Granit Xhaka and partner Ramsey in the central midfield.
The likes of Ozil and Alexis will probably be rested (Mirror) and therefore, Chamberlain and Lucas may get the nod to return to the starting lineup as well. Here is Arsenal’s strongest possible 4-2-3-1 XI vs Southampton.
