According to reports in Portugal, Manchester United are heavily linked with a move to sign 20-year-old playmaker Goncalo Guedes from Benfica.
Yesterday, we covered a report (via Portuguese media) claiming that the Red Devils are set to sign the youngster, who has a release clause of 60 million euros (£52million) in his contact.
In that report, it was also mentioned (via Record) that French champions Paris Saint-Germain are eager to secure the signature of the versatile attacking player.
Now, Record have provided an update with an exclusive report, one that Man United supporters will not like. The Portuguese source claims that Goncalo Guedes prefers a move to PSG, negotiations should be closed today and the fee will be around 30 million euros.
Last night, Guedes was left out of the squad against Tondela in a contest that the Primeira Liga champions won 4-0. Manager Rui Vitoria claimed that he was just left out due to technical issues (Record). However, Goncalo has been a regular starter for Benfica this season and his absence perhaps indicates that he is leaving the club.
In the current campaign, the Portuguese international has directly contributed in 14 goals (7 goals and 7 assists) in 28 games. He has only made two appearances for the senior national side.
