This winter, Manchester United have been heavily linked with starlets of Benfica such as the likes of Nelson Semedo and Victor Lindelof.
As per the latest reports going in the media, once again Goncalo Guedes is in the limelight and his move to Old Trafford seems close.
Yesterday, reports in the Portuguese media (ZeroZero via Record/A Bola) indicated that the 20-year-old playmaker is heading to Man United and the deal is practically done.
As per the provided ZeroZero link, Record have claimed that Goncalo will not be selected by Benfica for today’s game vs Tondela. Moreover, in the next few days, he is expected to seal a deal with Jose Mourinho’s team.
Adding to that, the report states that Benfica president Vieira tried to sign Depay in exchange for Guedes, who is rated around 30 million euros. However, the Dutch international moved to Lyon.
As per another exclusive report published by Record, PSG and Man United are the clubs eager to sign the versatile attacker and the deal could be completed in the next few hours for a fee of 30 million euros.
Record is a renowned source, however, it will be fair to say that the recent reports have been quite confusing and contradicting.
Yesterday, we covered a report (via SW via Record) claiming that Arsenal are heavily linked with Goncalo, who has a release clause of 60 million euros ($64million), and Benfica are trying to push him towards the Emirates.
This season, in 28 games, the youngster has scored 7 goals and provided 7 assists. Goncalo is a quality player and United have been tracking him for quite some time (via Mirror). In your opinion, should Jose sign him?

good decision. The Red Devil needs winger and a player with such age could possibly stay longer and have plenty to offer the team… go for Good did backs ( No. 2 and 3).
