Manchester United signed superstar Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the summer transfer window and the veteran center forward has been their best player this season.
The 35-year-old striker is playing like a man half his age and the Red Devils must hold onto him.
In 29 appearances (all competitions), the Swedish star has scored 19 goals and provided 6 assists in the current campaign. He is the joint leading goalscorer (Costa and Alexis) in the Premier League with 14 goals.
Zlatan signed a one year contract (Star) worth £275,000-a-week ($307,000-a-week) with a clause to extend the deal for another year last summer.
After brilliant performances, the former PSG star seems destined to stay at Old Trafford for another year and the club will activate next year’s clause. Moreover, United do not just want to keep him for one more year, reports suggest that they are ready to agree a deal to keep Zlatan for the next two years (The Sun).
