It seems that Manchester United want a team full of superstars under the management of Jose Mourinho and are ready to sign world class players.
Last summer, superstars like Pogba, Zlatan and Mkhitaryan joined the club and Antoine Griezmann could join them next summer.
The Red Devils have been interested in securing his signature even when Mourinho was not in charge of the club. Reports even suggested that United are willing to pay whatever it takes to hire his services (via El Confidencial).
According to the latest reports (The Sun), Man Utd have moved in with an offer of £220,000-a-week to finally agree the signing of the 25-year-old Atletico attacker next summer.
The former Real Sociedad star is one of the best playmakers in the world. This season, he has scored 10 goals and provided 6 assists in 22 games for the La Liga side.
As per the provided Sun link, United’s offer to Antoine matches the one that they offered Paul Pogba who signed a four year deal worth £220,000-a-week, (€53million in four years).
Moreover, the report also says that the French attacker has a release clause of £86million in his contract but United are confident of reaching an agreement with Atletico.
Mourinho’s men are currently 6th in the table and must focus on finishing in the top four. United were able to sign Pogba without Champions League football but signing Griezmann might be harder.
