Liverpool have been linked with numerous attacking players this winter but they have not moved in to sign even one and the fans are not happy.
The Reds need to strengthen their squad before the transfer window closes in less than a week.
If reports in the media are anything to go by then a new name is on Liverpool’s radar in the form of Ivorian international and SCO Angers winger Nicolas Pepe.
According to French source L’Equipe (press image provided below), the 21-year-old African attacker should leave the Ligue 1 side and the likes of Liverpool, Everton and Newcastle are looking to secure his signature.
The former US Orleans starlet is mainly a right winger but he can also play as an out and out center forward if needed. This season, in 18 league appearances (5 starts) for the French club, Pepe has scored 2 goals and provided 1 assist.
As per the provided L’Equipe image, Olymique Marseille are also seriously interested in signing Nicolas, who is rated around 10 million euros ($11million). So far, he has only made one senior appearance for Ivory Coast (Novemeber 2016).
Pepe went to the African Cup of Nations with the national side but was an unused substitute in all of their group games. As far as Liverpool are concerned, they need quality players to improve the first team and squad depth. In your opinion, is Pepe good enough to improve Liverpool?
