Liverpool are linked with numerous proven quality players in the winter transfer window and certain youngsters are in the limelight as well.
According to the latest reports in Italy, a teenage midfielder is linked with a move to Liverpool in the form of Francesco Cassata.
As per Gianluca Di Marzio, the Reds have inquired about signing the 19-year-old starlet and are ready to offer a sum of 10 million euros ($10.5million) to secure his signature.
Cassata is currently playing for Serie B side Ascoli on loan from Italian champions Juventus. The youngster is a versatile talent who can play anywhere in the midfield and can also be utilized in the attacking third.
This season, in 19 appearances, he has scored 1 goal and provided 2 assists for Ascoli. Last season, Francesco played for Juventus’ U-19 team in the Primavera A and in 39 games, he directly contributed in 10 goals (5 goals and 5 assists).
Liverpool signed Wijnaldum to reinforce their midfield last summer. What they really need this winter is a specialist defensive midfielder and Klopp must act swiftly to sign one.
