Liverpool have been linked with numerous attacking players this month and the latest name in the limelight is Italian international and Sassuolo star Domenico Berardi.
According to reports (Liverpool Echo via Gazzetta di Modena), the Reds are interested in signing the 22-year-old attacker next summer who is also wanted by Inter Milan and Juventus.
However, the Merseysiders need to strengthen their attacking midfield now and they must splash the cash to hire the services of the €25million rated ($27million) Serie A star (CalcioMercato) this month.
Since the departure of Sadio Mane to the African Cup of Nations, Liverpool have played three games, lost one and drawn two.
The Senegalese playmaker is badly missed and he is expected to miss a few more games. Moreover, Jurgen Klopp needs more quality and depth in his squad if they are to win the PL title this season.
Berardi has mainly been on the treatment table this season but when fit, his form has been brilliant. Before injury, he scored 7 goals and provided 1 assist in 6 games. After returning from injury, he has provided 2 assists in 2 games.
Last season, he featured in 32 games for Sassuolo and directly contributed in 16 goals (8 goals and 8 assists). Domenico is a versatile talent who mainly starts on the right wing but can also be deployed effectively in multiple attacking positions.
In your opinion, should Liverpool sign Berardi this month or next summer?

The stats look distinctly average. Add to that the laughable number of SUCCESSFUL Italian imports into England over the last fifty years (Zola, Zola and Zola) and you’ll realise that we might as well use that money to open a soup kitchen. At least then we’ll get a nice warm glow as opposed to the feeling of utter despair when yet another Italian import appears set for a very quick return to his homeland and at a cost, to his new employer, of a fifth of what we paid for him.
