Liverpool desperately need to reinforce their squad before the winter transfer window closes in a few days.
Last summer, the Reds strengthened their back line by signing two central defenders in the form of Klavan and Matip.
However, they failed to sign a new left back and this season, the manager has utilized James Milner, a natural midfielder, in the LB position. The retired England international has performed well in a position he does not prefer.
The Merseysiders need a natural left back for the long term and reports suggest that Klopp is targeting a Danish star.
According to Daily Mail, Liverpool are weighing up a move to hire the services of Real Betis star Riza Durmisi. Klopp has sent scouts to watch the 23-year-old defender in the La Liga.
Riza is a versatile talent, who can effectively play anywhere on the left hand side of the field. This season, Betis have used him as a left back and also as a left midfielder. Moreover, he can be productive from set pieces as well.
Last season, in 29 league games, he scored 1 goal and provided 6 assists as Betis finished 10th. This season, he has featured in 14 games for the Spanish side and provided two assists.
As per the provided Daily Mail link, Durmisi signed for Betis last summer and has a release clause of 17 million pounds ($21.3million) in his contract.
