Victor Lindelof’s move to Manchester United is getting closer as per the reports going on in the media.
The deal was reportedly delayed because of a fee that will have to be paid to the Swedish defender’s former club Vasteras. Now, Vasteras chairman claims that he is positive that a resolution is close (MEN).
Recently, a Lisbon based journalist Bruno Andrade stated on his twitter account that Lindelof’s move to United is done and only some formalities are left for the deal to be officially completed.
The 22-year-old center back was influential in helping Benfica win the title last season and has been a key figure this season as the Primeira Liga giants sit on top of the table.
Benfica are already preparing for life without Lindelof. The versatile star has not been part of the match squad in the last two games and that is another indication that he is expected to leave the club.
According to Daily Star, Lindelof is expected to sign a huge contract with the Red Devils that will make him earn £120,000-a-week, £25million in the next four years.
