Benfica star Victor Lindelof has been in the limelight even before the start of the winter transfer window and it will not be shocking at all if he does end up moving to Manchester United this month.
Last month ,there were numerous reports indicating that the Swedish star will be joining Man United. Record even claimed that the Red Devils agreed a fee of 45 million euros for the highly rated center half.
Then, a week ago, BBC reported that the Old Trafford club will not be making a move to sign the 22-year-old defender.
Now, the transfer saga has taken another twist and reports in Portugal suggest that Lindelof’s move to Man Utd is almost complete.
According to reports (Sport Witness via O Jogo), United’s deal for Lindelof is done. Moreover, a Lisbon based journalist, Bruno Andrade has stated on twitter that the deal is done and only official announcement is left. Then he posted another tweet and claimed:
“I repeat: #Lindelof expects only the resolution of some bureaucracies to be officially confirmed as a new Manchester United player”
Lindelof is a versatile star who can play on either side of the central defense, in both the full back positions and also as a defensive midfielder if needed.
Summer signing Eric Bailly has left the Red Devils to join the national side for the African Cup of Nations and United must now act swiftly to lure Victor.
