Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has got more than just one concern at the moment. The French boss must sign new stars to reinforce the squad and also secure new deals with a few key players.
The North Londoners have been in shaky form at the moment and have relied heavily on star striker Olivier Giroud to earn crucial points.
The Gunners’ boss has recently confirmed that the club are looking to extend the contracts of veteran players like Per Mertesacker and Santi Cazorla (via Mirror).
As far as the transfers are concerned, Wenger is lining up a move worth 20 million pounds (€23million) to hire the services of Nice right back Ricardo Peireira (Daily Star).
In all fairness, Arsenal must secure the signing of the 23-year-old Portuguese international this month. They lack quality depth in the right back position and will suffer if first choice star Hector Bellerin gets injured again.
Wenger does not trust the likes of Debuchy and Jenkinson in the right back position and mainly utilized Gabriel when the Spaniard was out injured.
Gabriel is mainly a central defender and does not have the pace to help the attack if deployed in the fullback position. Moreover, he has been inconsistent as a CB as well when Mustafi was out.
Ricardo Peireira is the perfect man to solve the dilemma. The former Porto player can play on either side of the defense and has been utilized as a right midfielder as well.
This season, he has been in top form for Ligue 1 leaders Nice. In 15 league appearances, Ricardo has scored 1 goal and provided 3 assists.
In your opinion, should Arsene splash the cash to sign Peireira from Nice.

What is the point of speculating.
Wenger could sign Aguero, Messi, Ronaldo and Neymar and he would still end up finishing fourth.
He has had it – passed his best ten years ago yet still clings to the belief he can lead Arsenal to PL glory.
Wenger is a joke – a dinosaur who should have left years ago.
He places his ego and the desire to prove everyone wrong before the welfare of the club. Trouble is, he proves everyone RIGHT.
He has got to go…
