In the past few days, Liverpool have been heavily linked with Portuguese international and Sporting CP star William Carvalho.
A Bola, in particular, have been covering the story of the 24-year-old defensive midfielder and they have published three reports in the past three days.
On Tuesday, the Portuguese source claimed that Liverpool have moved in and inquired about signing the midfielder, who has a release clause (via Mirror) of 45 million euros ($48million) in his contract. They stated that the Primeira Liga side are demanding a fee 30 million euros.
On Wednesday, they reported that the Reds will have to splash a fee of 40 million euros to secure his signature.
Yesterday, another update was provided and the report stated (SW via A Bola) that the player is anxious over the interest from England and showed that he is under pressure after the approaches.
The report does not specifically mention that the player is unsettled because of Liverpool’s interest but it is quite evident that the Reds are involved.
The former Cercle Brugge player has featured in 18 league games for Sporting this season, scored one goal and provided two assists. He has played 28 times for the senior national side and was part of the Euro 2016 winning team.
