Chelsea reinforced their midfield department last summer by luring French international N’Golo Kante from champions Leicester City.
Now, reports suggest that the Blues are looking to further bolster their midfield and two top stars are in the limelight.
Yesterday, we reported (via Daily Mail) that Chelsea are confident that they will seal the signing of Italian international Marco Veratti from French champions Paris Saint-Germain.
Now, according to the Times, manager Antonio Conte is looking to sign Monaco star Tiemoue Bakayoko to replace Oscar at Stamford Bridge. As per the provided Times link, the French star is rated around 40 million pounds (€48million).
Oscar is set to join Chinese side Shanghai SIPG and it is actually baffling that Conte wants Bakayoko as a replacement for the Brazilian.
Oscar is a natural attacking midfielder. On the other hand, 22-year-old Bakayoko is a natural defensive midfielder.
Conte already has two strong defensive midfielders in the squad in the form of Kante and Matic. Moreover, he also has the best defense in the league. Therefore, it makes little sense in signing another defense minded player.
The Italian manager must look sign more of a versatile midfielder and Veratti will be the better choice. In your opinion, should Chelsea sign Veratti or Bakayoko?

The PSG star is a very good option in terms of versatility and experience but i prefer the Monaco star due to his skills n strength.
Verrati
Verrati is the best option, he has skills and strength
veratti
Just sign both players. We need back-up for Kante and Matic, Bakayoko will provide that. We also need an upgrade on Fabregas. Veratti will do just fine.
We do not need any new player. Gradually introduce Loftus Cheek and Kennedy. They are world class players in the making. Due to lack of playing time they becoming rusty
For us to challenge for EPL we need at least a back up for nemanja and kante.veratti will be the best option
