Not Chicharito – Liverpool Leading Race to Seal £40million Star Signing

With strikers like Daniel Sturridge and Danny Ings out injured, Liverpool must sign a new striker in the winter transfer window and a few quality names are in the limelight.
Reports have suggested that the Merseysiders are interested in hiring the services (via Mirror) of former Manchester United star Javier Hernandez who has been in top form for Bayer Leverkusen since leaving Old Trafford.
Recently, reports have heavily linked the Reds with a move for Celtic star striker Moussa Dembele.
Not so long ago, Glasgow Live claimed that, the Reds are lining up a £20million offer to sign talented Moussa Dembele from Celtic.
Now, Daily Star have reported that Liverpool and Arsenal are leading the race to secure the signature of the 20-year-old center forward who is rated around £20million.
In 30 appearances for the Scottish side this season, the French international has directly contributed in no fewer than 20 goals (17 goals and 3 assists).
The above mentioned price tag might not be enough because Dembele is one of the top rising talents in the world and the likes of Man City, Man United and even Real Madrid want him. Hence, he will at least cost around £40million (Express).
In your opinion, should Liverpool sign Chicharito or Dembele?

  1. Clement says:

we need dembele to replace mane wen he goes to Africa cup act now to bring him at an field.

  2. RED PHIL says:

The thought of getting a United cast-off is too horrendous for words. He couldn’t hack it in our league once so why should he be able to hack it if brought back for a second go and at something like £30m? Horrible idea. Dembele looks a much better prospect but we must remember the standard of Scottish football which is, at best, shockingly awful. My arthritic granny could get a bag-full of goals playing for Celtic at places like Partick Thistle and Inverness.

  3. Albert Williams says:

There have been many very good players who did not perform at United, still are.

    • jonny be good says:

forster, wanyama, van dijk, naismith, davis all came from scotland and have done well in england, the premier league is not as good as sky sports try to make it seem, a lot of clubs were after him in the summer, premiership managers seem afraid to gamble on players from scotland but will throw millions to buy players from other leagues in europe, balotelli and depay are two who spring to mind

  4. John Smith says:

No, we have Origi. If Origi went to play in Scotland he too would have scored 20 goals or more no problem. Just because a half decent player who nobody fancied scored goals in a poor league doesn’t make him better than players we already have.

  5. Monkam says:

U r absolutely right mr Smith. Better give chance to origi.

  6. IVOR says:

    Anyone heard of King Kenny

  7. robert says:

    absolutely Dembele

  8. Funnie says:

Chicarito is good because he has a high work rate and can use his head very well, he fits into klopps kind of football.

  9. Navaz says:

Hernandez is best option. He is a proven star..We need immediate goal scorer in the absence of Coutinho, mane sturridge and ings. Cannot gamble on a young talent. We need to compete for title this time.

  10. Hasnor Hassan says:

It doesn’t matter Chicarito or Dembele yet we have Karius between the sticks..
What is the ambition of the club..developing new talent or title/cup??!!
