Forget Draxler – Klopp Eager to Agree $25million Star Signing for Liverpool

Liverpool are looking to strengthen their attacking midfield in the winter transfer window and a few quality players have been in the limelight.
Sadio Mane is the club’s top scorer this season and the Senegalese playmaker is expected to leave for the African Cup of Nations in January.
Therefore, the Reds are looking to sign a replacement for the former Southampton star. Liverpool wanted to sign German international Julian Deaxler but the former Schalke attacker has agreed a deal with French giants PSG.
Now, reports suggest that Liverpool will step up their chase to sign Dutch star Quincy Promes.
Liverpool have been interested in signing the 24-year-old Spatak Moscow star for quite some time. Reports indicate that after losing out on Draxler, Klopp is keen to agree the signing of Promes who has a release clause of 20 million pounds ($25million) in his contract (Daily Mirror).
The former FC Twente attacker is a versatile player. He is mainly a right winger but can also play effectively on the left flank and as an out and out striker if needed.
Promes has performed way better than an out of form Draxler. The Kaiser has not scored a single goal this season and provided only 2 assists in 13 league games.
On the other hand, the Netherlands star has been in fantastic form. He has scored 6 goals and provided 7 assists in 14 league games for the Russian side this season.
As per the provided Mirror link, Quincy is a friend of Liverpool star Wijnaldum and would welcome a move to Anfield.
