Chelsea have won their last 10 league games and sit 6 points ahead of Liverpool and Arsenal in the Premier League table.
The Blues have been brilliant even without top players like Fabregas and Oscar who have played little role in their brilliant ten game winning run.
The above mentioned duo are linked with Stamford Bridge exit and manager Antonio Conte is looking to strengthen the squad by signing a top player.
According to Daily Mail, Chelsea have made £40million ($50million) rated Marco Veratti a top transfer target and are confident of agreeing his signing. The Blues are also hopeful of seucring his signature for less than the above mentioned sum, though PSG will fight to get the maximum for their prized asset.
The 24-year-old Italian international is a versatile star who can effectively play as a creative central midfielder and also as a defensive midfielder.
Praising the Ligue 1 star, PSG’s head coach Unai Emery recently claimed that Veratti is a very important player for the club. The former Sevilla boss stated (BeinSports):
“He (Veratti) is very important. He is a player with many qualities. He brings quality to the team and his team-mates,”
“There are not a lot of players who play like him. He is one of the most important players at PSG. He has many qualities, he plays with heart and he has a positive state of mind regarding the competition and rivalry. He is exigent and effective.”
This season, in 19 appearances, the Azzurri star has scored 2 goals and provided 1 assist for the reigning French champions.
