Tottenham have been looking to sign a new contract with star striker Harry Kane for quite some time and finally terms have been agreed.
The contract saga dragged on for far too long and Manchester United were interested (via Squawka) in taking advantage. However, fortunately, Spurs have secured the new deal in time much to the delight of the White Hart Lane faithful.
The North Londoners have officially confirmed that the 23-year-old center forward has signed a new deal (five and a half year) that will expire in 2022.
Kane was the leading goalscorer in the Premier League last season and helped Spurs qualify for the Champions League. Not to forget, Spurs have been recently ousted from Europe’s elite competition.
According to Guardian, it is understood that the former Leicester player has signed a new deal that will make him earn £125,000-a-week, £35.7million (€42.5million) in 5.5 years.
This season, Kane has featured in 10 games for the club, scored 6 goals and provided 1 assist.
