Arsenal signed a top quality midfielder in the form of Granit Xhaka from Bundesliga side Borussia Monchengladbach in the summer transfer window.
Now, they have more than a few quality players for the center of the park such as the likes of Coquelin, Elneny, Cazorla, Xhaka and even Ramsey can be utilized there. In such a scenario, the Gunners do not really need to reinforce the midfield department.
However, if reports are anything to go by then Arsenal are interested in signing another midfielder in the form of Argentine international and Roma star Leandro Paredes.
According to the Sun, Wenger wants to reinforce his midfield, he has already moved in and contacted Leandro’s representatives in Italy to inquire about signing the 22-year-old player.
Paredes is a versatile star who can effectively play as a defensive/central midfielder. In 10 league appearances for the Italian side this season, he has scored one goal.
In all fairness, Coquelin and Xhaka are performing well in the central/defensive midfield and Wenger must not splash the cash to sign the £16million ($20million) rated (Talksport) South American.
