Arsene Wenger signed Mustafi to strengthen his back line last summer, lured Xhaka to reinforce his midfield and secure the signature of Lucas Perez to amplify the quality of the strike-force.
However, the Arsenal boss failed to sign any top quality player for the attacking midfield. Last summer, the North Londoners were heavily linked with a move to sign Wolfsburg playmaker Julian Draxler but the German international stayed with the Bundesliga side.
Now, if reports are anything to go by then Wenger has a good chance of finally signing the 23-year-old attacker.
Wolfsburg’s sporting director Allofs has told Sport1 that things will be different for Draxler next summer and he might be sold. Allofs stated:
“We may evaluate the situation differently, and may do things differently next time.”
“Does this mean letting him (Draxler) leave? Potentially.”
Julian has a release clause of (Mirror) 62 million pounds (€75million) that can be triggered next summer and Wenger should look to secure his signing.
Last season, the German star scored 9 goals and provided 8 assists in 35 games. This season, he has been out of form. In 10 games, Draxler has failed to score or provide an assist this season.
In your opinion, should Wenger finally sign Julain Draxler?
