Despite failing to qualify for the Champions League, Manchester United signed star striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the summer transfer window against all odds.
The Swedish superstar is one of the best goalscorers in the world and arrived on a free transfer after leaving Ligue 1 giants Paris Saint-Germain.
Ibrahimovic signed for the Old Trafford club on a one year deal with an option to extend it for another year and manager Jose Mourinho has confirmed that United will agree the option of the second season and extend Zlatan’s stay.
Mourinho claimed (BBC):
“We are going to execute the option of a second season. After that he can do what he wants.”
On the other hand, Ibra has also stated that he feels fresh at the moment and it stays like that then he will be at United for another year.
So far, the 35-year-old former Barcelona center forward has scored six goals in eleven league appearances for the Red Devils. Overall, in seventeen appearances, Ibra has netted eight goals and provided one assist.
In your opinion, should United extend Zlatan’s stay or sign a proven quality striker to replace him next summer?
