Liverpool already have more than a few quality midfielders in the squad such as the likes of Henderson, Wijnaldum and Can.
However, the Reds still need a complete midfielder in the center of the park, someone who will serve the club for long term and they must not look further than Will Hughes of Derby County.
The Merseysiders were interested in signing him back in 2013 but the move never happened. The 21-year-old England international is a life long Liverpool fan (Express) and featured against them when Derby played the Reds in the EFL Cup this season.
According to Mirror, the versatile £15million rated ($18.7million) midfielder has rejected a new contract offer from Derby.
In such a scenario, the Reds must look to take advantage and sign the talented player in the winter transfer window. In 14 starts, Hughes has provided 3 assists this season.
Will can play anywhere in the midfield and is productive in both attacking and defensive departments. He has won 40 tackles, the most by any Derby midfield player this season. Moreover, he has created 21 chances and made 19 key passes as well.
In your opinion, should Liverpool sign Will Hughes?

This Guy has been linked with us for a few years now and we keep hearing that a deal will be made in the summer or we were going to get him on a Bargain !!! I don’t know a lot about Hughes since I left the UK a while a go but what I had heard was he was going to be the next big thing in British football but still no team has Bought him yet
and so I ask myself one question !!!! Why hasn’t the Next big player in British football for a while Now Not been Snapped up from Derby County ??? Surely it can’t be due to a high Transfer fee or is it a case that a British player has been made out to be better then he really is or there are far better options abroad !!!
Would be greatful to hear from someone who knows more about this guy and is he worth the gamble or can compete with those from abroad in his position !!
Ashley, you shouldn’t have bothered asking yourself that question. Britain has never had a big player, much less the next big player.
