Conte Looking to Agree $37million Star Signing for Chelsea

antonio-conteThere were rumors in the summer that Diego Costa will leave Chelsea, however, things have changed now as the Spanish international has proved to be the best player for the Blues under the management of Antonio Conte.
The Italian boss splashed the cash in the summer transfer window and reinforced his strike-force by signing a top quality center forward in the form of Michy Batshuayi.
The Belgian international is mostly warming the bench mainly because Costa has been in brilliant form. The former Atletico Madrid striker is currently the joint top scorer this season with 10 league goals to his name.
According to reports, Conte has been interested in signing another striker and Sampdoria’s Luis Muriel has been in the limelight.
CalcioMercato have reported that Conte is looking to sign the 25-year-old Colombian international but will monitor him for a full season before moving to secure his signature in the summer transfer window.
As per the provided Italian source link, Muriel has a release clause of 28 million euros.
However, earlier this month, Sampdoria president confirmed (Talksport via Radio CRC) that Luis has a release clause of 35 million euros ($37million).

“To think, when Muriel wasn’t playing they wanted to give me €15m for him, when I paid €12m, but I said no. Muriel has a clause of €35m (£30.9m).”

The former Udinese striker has been in top form this season. He has netted 8 goals and provided 5 assists in 15 games for the Serie A side.
