Liverpool Seem Serious About Signing In Form Goalscorer

Since the arrival of Jurgen Klopp last season, no side has scored more goals in the Premier League than Liverpool. In the new season, the Reds are joint top scorers with Manchester City after seven games.
Still, the German manager wants to further bolster his options in the attacking third and if reports are anything to go by then Liverpool seem serious about signing a striker.
Liverpool sold the likes of Benteke and Balotelli in the summer transfer window and signing a new center forward probably makes sense.
According to Italian source TMW, Liverpool have been observing Genoa striker Leonardo Pavoletti closely and have actually traveled to Italy to scout the 27-year-old Italian forward.
The Azzurri star has been recently called up for the national team. Since joining Genoa, Pavoletti has been in good form. Last season, he scored 15 goals and provided 3 assists in 26 games. This season, he has netted 3 times in 5 appearances.
In all fairness, Liverpool have enough firepower up front and they must look to sort out the defense first.  Klopp must sign a quality left back and a defensive midfielder before thinking about signing a center forward.
As per the provided TMW link, Liverpool are not the only ones looking at the possibility of signing Leonardo as Arsenal are interested as well.
The report also says that the two English giants are also linked with a move to sign French international Gregoire Defrel.
