Tottenham acted early on in the summer transfer window and signed the likes of Wanyama (June) and Janssen (July).
However, the North Londoners have been in-active since securing the duo and Pochettino must look to further reinforce his squad before the transfer window closes.
If reports in the media are anything to go by then Spurs are looking to sign Turkish international and Bayer Leverkusen star Hakan Calhanoglu.
According to Hakan’s agent (Express):
“It is true that Tottenham have registered their interest with me”
The 22-year-old star is a versatile talent who can play anywhere in the attacking third. Moreover, he is a renowned free-kick specialist as well. Last season, Calhanoglu featured in 46 games for the German Bundesliga side, scored 8 goals and provided no fewer than 11 assists.
At the European Championshios, Hakan featured against Spain and Croatia for the national side. He has played 21 senior games for Turkey and scored 6 goals.
According to Sun, the Turkish star is rated around 21.5 million pounds. However, as per the provided Express link, Tottenham may have to splash over 30 million euros to sign him.
In your opinion, should Spurs sign Hakan Calhanoglu?
