Manchester United already have an overcrowded midfield department with players like Schneiderlin, Carrick, Herrera, Fellaini and Schweinsteiger around. Still, the Red Devils are keen on signing Paul Pogba.
Recently retired World Cup winner Bastian Schweinsteiger is linked with a move away from Old Trafford this summer (MEN).
However, the veteran midfielder, wearing a Man United shirt, has delivered a video message for the the Red Devils supporters and has confirmed that he is looking forward to seeing them “soon”. Schweni claimed (Independent):
“Hi guys, thank you very much for the birthday wishes and the positive comments I received about the national team career, I feel very honoured. I hope we’re going to see each other soon. Bye.”
The 32-year-old star left German champions Bayern Munich last summer to join Manchester United under the management of Dutch coach Louis van Gaal.
He featured in 31 games for Man United last season, scored 1 goal and provided 2 assists. The German midfielder was mainly injured last season and could only start thirteen league games for the British giants.
Mourinho likes to have experienced players in his squad and recently United handed Carrick a new contract. Will Jose keep Schweinsteiger at the club as well? We shall see.
