Pochettino Ready to Agree $26.3million Signing for Spurs

Mauricio Pochettino - Still Not Fully ConvincedTotenham have already reinforced their midfield department this summer by signing a top quality defensive midfielder in the form of Victor Wanyama from Southampton.
Now, Argentine boss Mauricio Pochettino is looking to further strengthen his midfield by signing a creative central midfielder and a certain Leicester City star is in the limelight. The player in discussion is Danny Drinkwater.
According to reports (The Sun), Tottenham are ready to seal the signing of the 26-year-old midfielder in a deal worth 20 million pounds ($26.3 million).
The England international was a key member of the squad that won the Premier League title under the management of Italian manager Claudio Ranieri last season.
Danny featured in 35 league games for the Foxes last season, scored 3 goals and provided 8 assists. Drinkwater formed a brilliant partnership with N’Golo Kante in the central midfield last season and will be a quality signing for Spurs if Pochettino can somehow lure him.
Not to forget, the North Londoners do have top midfield players in the form of Dembele and Dier. In your opinion, should Spurs sign Drinkwater?

  1. John Greenwood says:

If it is true and Mr Levy really is going to agree with Mr Pochettino then I’m all for us buying Danny Drinkwater.
His distribution and work rate is just what we need. He is English which makes me happy so just pay up.

  2. Germaine says:

I think he’s overrated and would not be a good signing for Spurs and once Ryan Mason gets his form and fitness back up he’ll be a much better player than Drinkwater.
So we’ll have Dier, Wanyama, Dembele (Powerhouses all) and Mason

  3. Dave Faunch says:

Danny D would be a very good signing for us, let’s not put Mason in the same bracket
