Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino acted early in the transfer window and secured two key signings for the North Londoners.
However, the Argentine boss has been chasing a few transfer targets for quite some time and must look to complete the transfer business as soon as possible.
A certain Spanish international in the form of Espanyol goalkeeper Pau Lopez has been in the limelight.
Last week, Spanish source Sport reported that Spurs have made an offer to sign the 21-year-old La Roja player but they have to pay over 5 million euros to hire his services.
If the latest reports are anything to go by then Spurs have a clear opportunity of signing Pau after the comments made by Espanyol sporting director Angel Gomez. Gomez claimed that the 6 ft 2 goalkeeper can leave the club if an interesting proposal arrives. AS report:
“If there is an economic proposal very interesting (for the club) and that convince him (Lopez) we will have to make a decision. But in the meantime, he is Espanyol player,”
As per the provided Sport link, Lopez has a firm offer from Tottenham to continue his career in the Premier League.
Last season, Pau featured in 36 league games for Espanyol and kept 7 clean sheets.
