Manchester United have mainly been linked with Juventus star Paul Pogba this summer and the ongoing transfer saga has surely frustrated the football fans.
Fortunately, there is a new name in the limelight in the form of Spanish international and Real Madrid star striker Alvaro Morata.
According to reports in the media (El Confidencial), Mourinho is looking to hire the services of the versatile forward by splashing a sum of 55 million euros. However the Spanish source have reported that the Los Blancos are looking for a fee of 70 million euros ($78million) to let Morata leave.
The 23-year-old La Roja star spent the last two seasons with Italian champions Juventus. Last season, he scored 12 goals and provided 12 assists in 47 games for the Old Lady. In 34 league games, Alvaro only scored 7 goals.
On the other hand, United have already signed a world class goalscorer this summer in the form of Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The Swedish superstar scored no fewer than 38 league goals last season. Moreover, stars like Rooney, Martial and Rashford can provide cover in the absence of the former Barca star.
In such a scenario, United really do not need to sign Alvaro Morata. He surely is over-rated. In your opinion, should Mourinho sign the Spaniard?
