Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has splashed the cash this summer to strengthen his defense by signing two central defenders in the form of Joel Matip and Ragnar Klavan. Moreover, the German boss has also signed a new goalie by luring Loris Karius.
However, the likes of Matip and Karius are injured at the moment. Adding to that, defenders like Gomez and Sakho are out with injuries as well.
In such a scenario, the former Borussia Dortmund manager must look to further reinforce his back line this summer and Jonas Hector is in the limelight yet again.
According to Daily Mail, Liverpool have been looking to sign a new left back and the £20million rated ($26.6million) FC Koln star has been constantly linked with the Reds.
Few days back, renowned Italian journalist Emanuele Giulianelli claimed (Tribal Football) that the 26-year-old star is set to move to the Reds and Klopp is ready to pay around 22.5 million pounds to sign him.
Jonas was a key member of the German squad at the European Championships and featured in every game for his nation.
James Milner is a versatile player but the idea of using him as a left fullback makes no sense whatsoever and Klopp must sign Hector before the end of the summer transfer window.

Another “Jonas Hector linked to LFC story”. Is it just me or is this monotonous repetition getting on everybody else’s tits as well. Why not just give his club what they want and sign the guy or go and sign someone else before it is too late. This dithering about does the club no good at all ,and none of the supporters have a clue what is going on.Chilwell stayed at Leicester,so if we can’t get him we would rather do without? yeh that sounds like a good idea. Lets not sign anybody else and get on with it,you never know we might get lucky like Leicester.(calm down, joking).Leicester got through the season with no injuries. We have got 6 players out injured and the season hasn’t even started it will only get worse.Sorry if i sound pessimistic, but what do you expect.YNWA.
I actually become happy when I hear of news linking j.Hector join with a move to An field. Is a fine player and hopefully, liverpoolfc require such a footballer in order to compete in 2016/2017 season. On the other hand, a need for a strong striker is of Paramount to assist Sturridge who is the only experienced striker the reds has and is injury prone.
